The Nara Park Hotel in Nishinokyo has attractive indoor and outdoor onsen facilities, which are open to non-staying guests. You can use the onsen between 11am and 9pm, for ¥1,000 (¥500 for children). Unless it is extremely busy, you don’t need to make a reservation. They also have a “day package” option, for families or groups who want to take a break without staying overnight. You can enjoy the baths, multi-course meals and a private room for dining and relaxing. The price depends on the meal, but expect to pay from ¥5,000 and up, per person.
